Privacy Policy

WiserChat (“WiserChat”, “we”, “us”) is an AI assistant that helps people explore Egypt’s property market through a chat interface. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights you have over it.

WiserChat is the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@wiserchat.co.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account identifiers. Depending on how you sign in, this is your email address, your phone number, and/or the basic profile information your Google account shares when you choose “Continue with Google” (your name, email address, and profile picture). We only request your name, email address, and basic profile — never your Google contacts, files, or other Google data.
• Authentication signals. One-time codes sent to your email or phone for sign-in, and the session tokens that keep you signed in.
• Conversation content. The messages you send to WiserChat and the responses generated for you, so the assistant can answer follow-up questions and improve over time.
• Usage and device data. Standard technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and interaction events, collected for security, abuse prevention, and product analytics.

We do not ask for your name during sign-up, and WiserChat is not intended for sensitive personal data. Please do not share national ID numbers, payment card details, health information, or similar sensitive data in your conversations.

2. How we use your data

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To provide the WiserChat service — understanding your questions and generating relevant property guidance.
• To send you the one-time codes you request for signing in.
• To protect WiserChat and our users against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
• To analyse and improve the quality, safety, and usefulness of the product.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Legal bases

We process your data where it is necessary to perform the service you asked for, where we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing WiserChat, where you have given consent, and where we are required to by law. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

4. Service providers we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the infrastructure and service providers that make WiserChat work, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection terms:

• Google — only when you choose to sign in with Google, to authenticate you and return your basic profile.
• Supabase — manages authentication sessions and stores account records.
• Amazon Web Services — sends sign-in emails and hosts backend infrastructure.
• Meta Platforms — used to deliver one-time sign-in codes over WhatsApp when you choose the phone option.
• Cloudflare — hosts and protects the WiserChat web application.
• Analytics and AI providers — product analytics and the AI models that generate responses. Conversation content sent to AI providers is used only to produce your answers.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside Egypt. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on providers that offer appropriate safeguards and contractual protections for that data.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your personal data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.

When you delete your account, it is first soft-deleted and scheduled for permanent deletion after a 30-day grace period. Signing back in within that window restores your account. After the grace period, your personal data is permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

7. Your rights

Consistent with Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law and applicable data-protection rules, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion of your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to obtain a copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@wiserchat.co. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport, scoped access controls, and short-lived session tokens. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your information and respond to incidents.

9. Children

WiserChat is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the product. Continuing to use WiserChat after a change means you accept the updated policy.
